Many reasons actually.
We have a pier, great walks along the seafront - also popular for cyclists, as the area is in general quite flat and safe.
We have 2 castles in walking distance with Dover castle just a few miles away.
Nice shopping center with many quaint family owned/managed shops and cafes.
Indoor swimming pool just 15 minutes away in the adjoining town of Walmer.
Sea fishing (from the beach and pier) - lake fishing (Cotterton), approx. 10 minutes by car.
We have many quality restaurants close at hand, plus some very good public houses with local 'real ales'.

Thank You

Yes, we do.
Many guest houses and hotels seem to have decreased in allowing pets,
but we are animal lovers and are more than happy to accomodadate them.
We charge a one off payment on arrival - £10.00
This payment helps us manage the cost of having to sanitise the room and the extra cleaning.

Please read the following:
Due, to guests leaving their pets in the bedrooms for long periods unattended - Causing stress to the animal and also to our other guest's, due to barking and scratching !
We expect that your pet to be fully house trained and
not left unattended in the bedroom at any time.

Exceptions: Your pet is allowed to be left for a short period during the hours of breakfast service and during the evening,
but only if you are dinning in our restaurant - So that should an issue arise, you are easily contacted.

We're Sorry, but pet's are not allowed in the main dinning room,
although providing there is seating available - we do allow pet's in our bar area, but this depends on other guest's who have the 'right' to object !

We can provide dog baskets for your pets comfort.

You will be charged for damages caused to the premises.

No, sadly - Very few hotels have parking facilities in the area, but there are several close bye.
The nearest is just seconds to the rear of our hotel.
The cost is £1.10p per hour, between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (Same charges apply on Sundays).
If you desire a lay in the following morning, you can pay monies into the parking machine after 5.00pm the previous evening which follows through to the following morning.

We provide maps of these parking area's at reception or you can e mail us and we'll happily send a copy through to you.

Surprisingly, there is 'free' parking on the seafront.
If you drive just 2 minutes along the seafront ( heading towards Sandwich Bay - Away from Dover ), past our hotel and the royal hotel, you'll be able to park (after approx. 5 parking bays - close to public shelter ).

8 minutes to walk back to the Waterfront Hotel.

Please check out our other link 'DEAL PARKING INFORMATION', as this page offer's full information... including parking charges and much more !
