Review from 7 Jul 2022 Great hotel with great views We received a warm welcome when checking in. Directions for parking were given to us for the nearby car parks available for parking. During our stay we received excellent service from the hotel team, our room served us well and was equipped with all you need for a short stay, the room was warm, clean and comfortable. A great location, Opposition the pier. Great value with a great breakfast and an amazing Sunday Lunch. Thank you to the staff. We will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future and would highly recommend it. Whats not to like, Amazing !

“Wish more hotels were like this one on our travels!” Sorry can't think of anything, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the roast which was on offer on a number of nights as most places on our travels offered it for Sunday lunch only and we kept missing it as we arrived late in the afternoons after sightseeing. Hi Maria and staff who were very helpful with info on public transport, free parking and the help with taking our luggage upstairs. It was a great place to stay with a seaside location and public transport to see the White Cliffs of Dover. Loved the way the bar, restaurant and outside area are all set up. The breakfast and all meals were excellent.

NevardA wrote a review on 19 Jul 2020 Great tasty food - lots of- friendly staff Had dinner here last saturday- our first post Lockdown dinner and we were not disappointed. I had a roast and my hubby had pork medallions in red wine sauce. So lovely we booked to bring my 86 yr old mum here today for Sunday dinner. Her first day out since Feb. Mum had lamb shank, I had half a roast chicken and my hubby the pork belly. He raved about the pork. Meal was so good lots of fresh veg, homemade yorkshire, roasties and mash, Gravy was great. Too much food we couldn't fit a pudding in too. Only £9.95 per head. All necessary social distancing, checking temp, hand gel being observed. Staff wearing masks. I think the waitress I would like to point out is Pam. She was so good to us last week and let me personally select my table so I knew my mum would be comfortable and safe. Will definitley be back. Next time to stay in the hotel too

Review from 1 Mar 2022 Having had to travel at short notice I struck gold with this hotel I booked a single room ,although it was on the 3rd floor ,I had been warned about this. The room was bright spacious ,clean and the bed was very comfortable . The bathroom/toilet next door was perfectly equipped.Breakfast was included , delicious, plentiful, with lots of variety, accompanied by a ray of sunshine named Maria. Having to extend my stay unexpectedly the gentleman at the reception pulled out all the stops to find me another room at an excellent rate. This room on the first floor was even better with on suite and all facilities you could need The bed was excellent. The restaurant which I used twice each time the menu is varied and responsibly priced and plentiful.

Sarah Handley5/5 Google Review Booked an 80th birthday meal on Sunday 17.6.18 for 26 guests. From the minute we arrived to decorate the tables to the time we finished the party, we had such a brilliant and friendly service. Our 2 course meal was excellent and all the guests complimented it. The Hotel is just the perfect location for any party with stunning views overlooking the beautiful beach area of Deal. I highly recommend the Waterfront Hotel in Deal 100% for any special occasion. I for one will go again. Fantastic. Thank you The Waterfront for making my mum's day so special. X

Reviewed by andy a The best Sunday lunch Haven’t been for a while but heard Sunday lunch was excellent and it truly was - generous portions of various roasts, perfectly cooked fresh veg and all the trimmings. Served by very pleasant and efficient staff, even though it was very busy. We watched several lunches come out and they were all constantly of the same high standard.

Missy Spence reviewed Waterfront Hotel — 5 star Stayed here for 5 days and all I can say is what a lovely place it is the breakfast was outstanding and even though we sometimes didn’t get up in time for breakfast they always accommodated us and when we got home late of a night and asked for a drink they had no problem in doing so! Reviewed by daveandkarenbond Perfect overnight stay prior to catching ferry We booked this hotel primarily because they take pets, and the hotel was very reasonable. We only needed somewhere to stay prior to getting the early morning ferry. However, we were very pleasantly surprised and we loved this little hotel. We had a warm welcome and a lovely dinner that evening. The hotel is clean, comfortable and very friendly. We were unable to have breakfast the following morning as we were getting the early ferry so we were given a lovely packed lunch instead, which was very unexpected. Although our room was not en suite, we had a lovely sea view and the facilities were spotlessly clean. We went back again for our return journey home, and we both decided we would not stay anywhere else if we were crossing the channel. In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much, we thought next time we go to France for our holidays we will start out a day or two earlier and spend more than one night in this very pleasant hotel. It is small, but very comfortable, so I would suggest booking a table if you want to have dinner as it is open to non-residents and seems very popular, which I am not surprised about. Thank you all for a lovely stay.

karl taylor5/5 Google Reviews Super friendly staff. Our starter of garlic mushrooms was lovely and I highly recommend them. For mains I had the carvery which was very nice but i'd like to of seen a better veg selection. The only down side to my wife's meal was that the chips were frozen instead of fresh but she didn't even need the chips as the mussels were plenty and very tasty. All in all a lovely meal at a good price and we will be back.

“Waterfront, absolutely gorgeous view” 눇Waterfront. That tells all! Beautiful view, pier, pebble beach, walk board. Has no parking, but there is a P+R behind the hotel and it is free till 9.00am. Tasty full English breakfast which you can eat outdoors too. No elevator and narrow staircase but we loved it! Large room, comfy bed, friendly receptionist, thank you for making our last day in UK unforgettable👍

melmurdoch TripAdvisor 5.0/5.0 First visit to the Waterfront Hotel with friends today and it certainly won’t be the last! Excellent carvery and lovely staff. The Yorkshire Puddings were exceptional (that’s coming from a Yorkshire woman!). As a visitor to the area we were made very welcome and can’t wait to return on our next visit to Kent - delicious!

Review from 13 Jun 2021 Fabulous Food,Fabulous Staff Our first meal out with our friends since lockdown! Had a fabulous meal here. Marinated garlic prawns, chips, salad, aioli first class. Husband's swordfish steaks were reminiscent of Spain. Nice bottle of red. No Pernod for my friend but they scoured the shops that were open for her but unfortunately couldn’t find any however 5 stars for their effort and kindness. Pam was our lovely, friendly waitress and looked after us so well. Mark was finishing off the lovely flower display outside and was a smashing fellow who provides top food at really fair prices! Geoff put up with us well and locked up as we were the last to leave - thank you for your patience, Geoff! Spotless restaurant and pristine toilets. And to top it all we had a beautiful window table looking over the perfect blue sea and sky of Deal. Puddings were gorgeous - lovely spotted dick and a creamy sherry trifle. A really smashing evening at this cosy, clean and friendly restaurant - only sorry we live nearby and didn’t need to stay the night! Thank you one and all for a great (Apologies as I was enjoying my meal so much I didn’t take my usual food photos)! Report Review

Review from 10 Jun 2021 SO SAFE With the present restrictions we felt so comfortable with the cleanliness of this hotel. The bar is welcoming and small and friendly. We didn’t find time to eat there but it was really buzzing and clearly popular for the food. The room we had was compact but fully equipped.

Review from 6 Jun 2021 Gorgeous food, friendly service Visited June 2021. Rooms ok, very clean and take Covid reassuringly seriously. Breakfast absolutely cooked to perfection. Supper homey dishes, delicious. Went out for dinner on our second night, wished we hadn’t - the Waterfront was far better. Really friendly people running it. Couldn’t get a sea view room but next time we will make sure we do as think it’ll be worth it. All in all very good value, would go again for a sea view.
